FDA Warns Consumers to Stop Using Hydroxycut Products
Fellas, I know that a lot of you still believe in all the marketing hype of fat burner commercials like the buff “Dr.” who takes Hydroxycut. Listen, along my journey, I’ve taken enough fat burners to know that you don’t need them! I’ve even taken the kind that bodybuilders preparing for a show actually swear by.
Well, I’ve had mixed results from using them, but I never benefited enough from them that I thought I couldn’t achieve the same results without being more organized and consistent with my training and nutrition.
So, in short, DON’T TAKE FAT BURNERS!!!
However, don’t take my word for it; here’s a quote from the statement the FDA released yesterday concerning Hydroxycut:
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is warning consumers to immediately stop using Hydroxycut products by Iovate Health Sciences Inc., of Oakville, Ontario and distributed by Iovate Health Sciences USA Inc. of Blasdell, N.Y. Some Hydroxycut products are associated with a number of serious liver injuries. Iovate has agreed to recall Hydroxycut products from the market.
The FDA has received 23 reports of serious health problems ranging from jaundice and elevated liver enzymes, an indicator of potential liver injury, to liver damage requiring liver transplant. One death due to liver failure has been reported to the FDA. Other health problems reported include seizures; cardiovascular disorders; and rhabdomyolysis, a type of muscle damage that can lead to other serious health problems such as kidney failure.

Not so quick there Muata. I’m sure the stuff works if you walk to the store, buy it, walk home and then toss it in the garbage, you’re sure to burn some fat off. Plus the fresh air and the vitamin D from the sun during your walk is just a bonus from this wonder product.

Gretsch has always made great drummers. When I think of Gretsch I think of a classy set-up. The Catalina Mod 4 piece is a nice club size kit. I have found the space allocated to the bands getting smaller and smaller. A big kit just doesn’t fit anymore. The Catalina should do the job. Let me know how it sounds and plays.

Nothing wrong with some caffeine to help burn fat though.. studies show that it does work if used reasonably. But all you need is coffee!!

Exactly Mike! If you want to go the really cheap route and get a good stimulant for your training sessions, then all you need is to go get some generic No Doze from Target or Walmart. Take a pill 30-45 minutes and enjoy the extra boost it gives you while you workout. Each tablet has about enough caffeine as a cup of coffee …

Hydroxycut is pretty expensive. The more money you spend on Hydroxycut, the less money you’ll have to spend on food. That should lead to some weight loss.

“The more money you spend on Hydroxycut, the less money you’ll have to spend on food.”
I think that should be the company’s motto

All of these products that come onto the market and promise mircale gains should be looked at with skeptism. There is a reason NONE of them are approved by the FDA until they step in to ban them.
My advice- drink lots of water, watch your calories, and get active!

Can’t argue with this sound advice. It’s funny because folks would save so much money if they simply focused on the three things you’ve mentioned …
